How To Get an Avatar and Signature

Okay, here is a simple series of steps so you can get an avatar and signature:

1. Click on "Profile". You need to be logged in to do this.

2. You will come to a page with a series of your details and other stuff. A little bit to the right, you will see a horizontal list of links: Information, Preferences, Signature, Avatar, Friends and Foes, and Topics being watched. Information should be yellow and bold. Click on Signature, or Avatar, whichever one you would like to get first.

Avatar:

1. Click on "Profile". You need to be logged in to do this.

2. You will come to a page with a series of your details and other stuff. A little bit to the right, you will see a horizontal list of links: Information, Preferences, Signature, Avatar, Friends and Foes, and Topics being watched. Information should be yellow and bold. Click on Avatar.

3. From there, you may choose where you want to upload your avatar from. Hence:

> Computer: Click on the "Browse" button, and simply find where your avatar is, and either double click it or click open. After that, click "Save" when you get back to the page.

> Website: Paste your image url in the white box opposite "Upload an Avatar from an URL :
Enter the URL of the location containing the Avatar image, it will be copied to this site." or "Link to an off-site Avatar :
Enter the URL of the location containing the Avatar image you wish to link to." Click "Save" at the bottom of the page.

> Gallery: Click "Show Gallery" and select the image you want, and then click "Select Avatar" at the bottom of the page.

Signature:

1. Click on "Profile". You need to be logged in to do this.

2. You will come to a page with a series of your details and other stuff. A little bit to the right, you will see a horizontal list of links: Information, Preferences, Signature, Avatar, Friends and Foes, and Topics being watched. Information should be yellow and bold. Click on Signature.

3. Type in what you want for your signature. To get an image, type . No spaces in the url.

Also, because another member had this problem, I thought I would write this down. You also need to go to "Preferences" and tick "Always attach your signature". And when you post, just below the posting area, you'll see "Options". If Attach signature isn't ticked, TICK IT, or your sig won't show. Please only ask us to edit your signature as a LAST RESORT, because it isn't very easy, and we have to figure out what you did wrong as well.
